THE FUTURE OF CHILDCARE
These past few months I have shared via social media channels about the concept of introducing A State Day Care Center. I believe this concept should be studied and analyzed since childcare in Aruba is ridiculously expenses.
Parents typically pay annual fees ranging from 1750 florins to 2500 florins per child, or about 10 to 15 percent of their annual income. To meet the needs of working parents, certain educational programs offer additional care after school and during vacations. Most of these programs are not subsidized by the Aruba Government as such parents pay a good sum for their children to participate in these programs. Furthermore, the cost of living and working long hours has a greater impact on families. Consequently, parents spend less time with their children. Therefore, I found it interesting to start a discussing / conversation about introducing a similar day care system as of France in Aruba.
